It has been raining. A lot. The weather is a bit brighter in Paris, and even on days where it isn’t, at least you’re in a place where you can get better wine in a small glass at lunchtime. As for Brussels, well they have chocolate. From 28th August 2014 to 9th September 2014 there is a Eurostar sale on. You’ll be able to book a Eurostar to Paris, Brussels, Lille or Calais from just £59 return – for travel between 22 September 2014 and 17th December 2014. Go for it. Bon voyage!
In addition, you’ll be able to book travel to any Belgian station, including Bruges, Ghent and Antwerp from £69 return in standard, or from £166 in Standard Premier. Just select ‘any Belgian station’ in the arrival station drop-down menu.
Travel in Standard Premier from £149 return – you get food and wine, which is nice.
Incidentally, while Eurostar recommend a romantic mini-break to Paris, I’ve never been there with a partner, and have enjoyed it very much as a solo female traveller. So there.
On my most recent visit to Paris, I visited the beautiful food-filled Jewish quarter, Le Marais, for the first time…
Not far from the bakery is something else to enlarge your pupils…
These amazing eclairs at L’Éclair de génie Paris are €4 each. But Mon Dieu, just look at them. Nearest Metro station is Saint-Paul.
Food is love, enjoy the Eurostar sale.
